On Saturday I was lucky enough to spend some time with some good friends of ours and their sweet little boy who is about 6 months. I cannot believe how much he has changed over the winter. He used to be this skinny little thing and now he is a big chunk. He's awesome!
On a more personal note – with all of the rain that we had on Sunday – we awoke to massive amounts of water in our basement/my office. My Mom came over and helped Mike and I clear everything out, throw things away, and brought us yummy coffee. Hopefully the boys won't start saying s***!
If we have learned anything from this, it is:
1. Friends and family are amazing (HUGE thanks to Katie for taking the boys for me)
2. Don't keep important things on the floor of your basement....ever
3. Put surge protectors on milk crates to keep them off the floor (smart idea Mike)
4. Check the sub-pump during winter rains.
5. Our six year old handled it way better than we did. He came up with a simple fix it plan of re-routing the water to go into the tub. Genius! :o)
And, above all else:
“Fall seven times, stand up eight.” - Japanese proverb
I will update this post later with a slide show. In the mean time, here are a few of my favorites of sweet little Theo!
