I could not wait to post this with the others from Karyn + Kevin's wedding!

katie + peter :: engaged

Here is another quick post from a recent engagement session. Katie + Peter were great sports with dealing with all of the rain during their engagement session. Mike got lots of moody shots which made for some really nice black and white images.

Gina + Ben : : engaged!

So Mike really loves trying to piece together long panoramics. I really liked how this looked "pieced" together, before I made is seem-less.  It calls to the graphic designer in me.

Meena + Alec ... MARRIED!!!

Meena and Alec had an amazing wedding two weeks ago at the American Club. The fall weather was bright, warm and without flaw.

**The slideshow music needs explanation for those of you who do not know Meena and Alec. The song is "The Shining" by Badly Drawn Boy. It was an integral part of their wedding and really spoke to the two of them – it really is a beautiful song.

I was in love with Meena's bouquet. 

There were three adorable flower girls. Two of them were twins, one had the flu and the other – well – here she is!  I think she was feeling just fine. I love how she looks like she is levitating. It pretty much sums up their energy level for the day.

Meena was a hand wringer.  :o)  She was calm, but expressed her nervousness very eloquently through her hands.  

Such a sweet first look from Alec.

One of the many things we love about weddings are the emotions that flow. And they DID flow for Meena and Alec.

Meena's co-maid and dude of honor had a hysterical speech. Daniel had kept all of the emails that Meena had sent that declared here love for Alec from the very beginning. That is a dedicated friend!

A little fun with the rings! They had an old-school photo booth which was a huge hit.

And last but not least is some of the great details!

Anne Marie + Andrew

A couple of years ago Mike had the pleasure of working with Knupp + Watson on their annual fundraiser called Goodstock. One of the very talented graphic designers Mike got to work alongside was Andrew. Ironically, Goodstock was on the same day as Andrew and Anne Marie's wedding.  

Anne Marie and Andrew have been together since High School and are absolutely perfect together! There day was filled with so much laughter – you will notice this just a few times through out these pictures. Even if we asked them to try to keep a straight face, this would usually induce fits of laughter from just about everyone.

The girls just noticed that Mike was taking their picture! They thought they were being sneaky.

There was some singing that gave the wedding party a case of the giggles! It was too funny, however, I don't think the pastor thought so. :o)

This image cracks me up.

We had a ton of fun with portraits with these two. 

People have such mixed feelings about the art installation that is at the MMOCA right now. I love it though. It really makes for some great color.

I was crazy for the light and shadows that was happening here.

We are not sure what exactly is going on here, other than Andrew really seems to be digging the cake. 

Holiday Ordering Deadlines

Feeling the cold air and watching the leaves fall reminds us that it is getting to be that time of year again.  The Holidays are approaching and our schedule is filling up quickly!  

All Orders need to be placed by these dates.

Wedding Albums: November 10**
Last Day for Portrait Sessions: November 14
Print Orders: December 1
Greeting/Holiday Cards: December 1
Framed Prints: December 1 
Highlight Album/Proofbooks: December 1

We will be keeping this post at the top until right before the holidays so that you don't forget to make your orders in time. All new posts will be right below this one! 

We are offering many new products this year. But one that we are really excited about are our Holiday Cards.  All designs are customizable and printed on a beautiful heavy-weight paper. Here are a couple of examples to give you an idea of what we can do!

**All products except for wedding albums will be guaranteed by December 23. We will do our best to have your wedding album here in time for the holidays, but because of the custom nature of each album, there is a very slight chance that this may not be possible. 

Sam's Senior Session

A lot of Mike's seniors this year truly amaze me. Sam has competed on the national and international level for bike racing. Not bad for a senior!  Good luck Sam!

Happy Birthday Brian!

Abbie + Brian, one of our couples from this year just got a puppy! I can barely get over how cute he is! 

Abbie thought it would be a great idea to surprise Brian on his Birthday with some photos of their pre-baby-baby! We agreed!

Jomana + Eric were married at the American Club in Kohler. We love shooting Kohler weddings, everything is always done so beautifully!

Katie + Doug Got Married!!!

Remember these guys? 

We had so much fun with Katie + Doug on their engagement session that we knew that we would be in for a real treat on their wedding day.  We were right! 

Garden Laurels by Donna Sager did an amazing job. 

The light at Blackhawk Church is awesome! We could not get enough of the great sweeps of light and shadows. 

And Katie was, of course, STUNNING!

Nothing like a little football on your wedding day!

The best part of editing Katie and Doug's wedding were are the hysterical faces that were made.  These two could seriously win a prize for their hysterical facial expressions.

And last but not least...a perfect 10 for their chest-butt at the end of "Bad" by Michael Jackson!
