Liane + Wade

This wedding had to have been a record for us. 22 bridesmaids and groomsmen, 4 ushers, 2 usherettes, 2 junior groomsmen, one ring bearer and one flower girl.  Yikes!  It was insane, but so much fun.  Seriously. Oh yeah!  And some of the UW marching band was there along with Bucky Badger!  How cool is that?

Liane + Wade had a perfect day – they should, since Liane has been planning the wedding for 7 years. Good job Liane, everything was beautiful!

Like I said...the wedding party was HUGE!  :o)

Thanks for letting me run away with your rings for a while Liane + Wade!

Ruthie + Tom make it Official!

We had the honor of shooting the fantastic wedding of Ruthie + Tom!  What a blast!!!  Their ceremony was in the Assembly room at the capitol and the reception was held at Fresco, on top of MMOCA. The day went off without a glitch – everything was perfection – even the weather!

Check out these flowers! Holy cow did they smell good and were absolutely beautiful!

Their ceremony was so wonderful – it even made me cry!

Ruthie + Tom were hysterical! They pretty much giggled their way through the whole day – as it should be!

I just LOVE this shot. I have noticed that every couple has a "thing." Some couples hold hands with only certain fingers interlocked...  Ruthie + Tom's thing is nose-touching. I spent the better part of the day trying to capture a perfect profile of it! I finally got it during their dance. Soooo sweet!

Doing the portraits in the glass staircase was amazing. We could not have asked for better light or a better couple!

Jamie Galanos from Beyond Elegant Events did an amazing job working with Ruthie to make everything perfect. The wedding was so completely Ruthie + Tom. Lets just say, they loved beer + cheese and not cake, but deserts!  YUM!

Andrea from Fleruishes really out did herself with the bouquet and table arrangements. Everthing was so unique and personal!

All in all a fantastic day! Ruthie + Tom, I can't even begin to say how much fun we had with the two of you. It was like photographing two old friends – relaxed, easy and fun! Ruthie – don't work too hard! :o)

The Madison Wedding Guild

There are two reasons for this post. The most important is to announce that The Madison Wedding Guild's show location for this Wednesday has changed to The Madison Club! Please make a note of it. The time will be the same, 5:30 - 8:30.

The second reason for this post is to say how great of a time we had working with Jayme from Beyond Elegant Events and Andrea from Fleurishes this past weekend. Working with other members from The Guild is rewarding on so many levels. There is a level of professionalism along with sincere kindness.

Soooo Excited!

Mike + I had a great pre-wedding photo shoot for a wedding we are documenting this Saturday. Ruthie + Tom are so completely in love!!!

I am just so excited about it that I had to post a couple before I hit the sack!

Laura + Tim

Once again, another weekend as storm chasers!  It was amazing though since we always seemed to be one step ahead of the storms. What luck!

Laura + Tim had a gorgeous day surrounded by their ever expanding family and close friends. Their wedding was intimate and touching. Every aspect of their day was perfect.

Laura LOVED her dress! She lucked out with one that was perfect straight off the rack from Premiere Couture. Lucky lady!

Laura + Tim had a theme...this was the sign for the bathrooms!  

They had this awesome old limo to transport them to Spring Green.  Mike + I were in love with this car.

The ceremony was at Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Chapel.  

Gatherings did an amazing job with the flowers. There was a room filled with Peonies!

Laura had such an amazing laugh!  It was contagious.

The Chapel was dark and moody and lent itself to some beautiful, gritty images.

By far the best part of the day was the ceremony. It was one of the most touching ceremonies that we have been lucky enough to witness. Not only were there plenty of tears, but laughter as well.

And now for a really tasty tidbit – the details. Angela Dupont from Top Shelf Weddings + Events did the planning for Laura + Tim's wedding. She did an amazing job!

Heather + Dave

Even though there was a threat of rain, there were only blue skies and cotton ball clouds. Heather + Dave had a perfect day except for one minor transportation set back. Dave couldn't have said it better, "nothing matters now that we (Heather + Dave) are married!" 

Heather's Mom was not only cracking us up, but her bridesmaids as well.

I absolutely loved where the bridesmaids chose to put their bouquets while Mike + I stole away with Heather + Dave for some portraits.
